beacen is designed to navigate your routes without building a profile about you.

No beacen account
beacen does not require a beacen account. You can import and navigate routes without creating a profile or signing in to beacen.
Your routes
Routes remain stored locally on your devices unless you enable optional iCloud sync. If enabled, sync uses your private Apple iCloud and CloudKit account.
Location during navigation
beacen uses your location for active navigation and off-route guidance. It does not use location to create an activity history. beacen does not record workouts.
Analytics and advertising
beacen does not currently use advertising or third-party analytics.
Sharing GPX files
Only when you choose to export or share a GPX file through the normal iOS share sheet, that file may contain the route name, route geography, and waypoint information already present in the imported file, such as waypoint names, comments, descriptions, elevations, timestamps, symbols or types. beacen does not create this waypoint information or add favourites, categories, account information, navigation history or breadcrumb history to shared GPX files. You choose the file and the person or app that receives it.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as beacen develops. The date above will change when the policy is revised.
