Why won’t my GPX file import?
Check that the file ends in .gpx and contains a route or track. Try opening it from Files, Mail or another app through the share sheet. If it still will not import, send the file to support@beacen.app. Use the complete GPX import checklist.
Why isn’t my route appearing on my watch?
Open beacen on your paired watch, then send the route again from your phone. Once the route is on your phone, the transfer is local and does not require internet or mobile coverage.
How do I keep beacen visible when I raise my Apple Watch?
On Apple Watch, open Settings, then General, Return to Clock and beacen. Turn on Return to App. You can also choose After 1 Hour as the longer return time. Menu wording may vary by watchOS version.
Why is the offline map missing detail?
The route can remain available while uncached map tiles do not. Cache the map area before leaving coverage; any detail not already stored may still need connectivity. Understand the difference between an offline map and an offline route.
Why isn’t my workout being recorded?
beacen is intentionally a navigation companion and does not record workouts. Start Apple Workout, Strava, WorkOutDoors or your preferred fitness app separately when you want an activity recorded. Compare route and workout recording.
Why has a shared route link stopped working?
The route owner may have stopped sharing it, which removes its public route and GPX download. Ask them for a new share link or the GPX file directly. Compare share links and GPX files.
