The Karavanke foothills link Slovenski Javornik and Tržič on this varied point-to-point ride. Asphalt covers most of the LG3 itinerary, but a meaningful gravel section breaks up the road riding. A gravel bike avoids making the ride depend on narrow road tyres coping with every surface.
